Servicing
All gas appliances should be serviced at least annually. This not only ensures the safety of the appliances but also will keep it running efficiently, keeping ever-increasing fuels bills to a minimum!
Remember gas appliances are inherently safe but the safety of your family and home, depend on those safety devices working correctly. Don't put family and your safety at risk from Carbon Monoxide Poisoning or dangerous incidents. Ensure you regularly service your gas appliances.
If your gas appliance is not working as you would wish or you just want to keep everything in tip-top condition we can offer an efficient service whether it is a boiler, radiator, gas fire or cooker fault we are happy to inspect your appliance.
Experiencing problems with your boiler?
Faults indicating a boiler requires servicing:
- Smell of fumes or gas (turn off gas at the gas meter) telephone Transco - then call Capital Gas
- Flames appear irregular or yellow
- Stains or smoke marks around the appliance
- Overheating — temperature gauge goes above 80 degrees centigrade
- Fan whine loudly or screeches
- Pilot goes out repeatedly
- Pressure drops rapidly — boiler needs refilling more than once a month
- Poor hot water
- Radiators don't heat up at the same time — possibly a boiler fault, or it is possible that the system is unbalanced
